NPORS Appointed Person - Lifting Operations (N401) Course Content
The novice course is split into 4 days of training and one day of testing.
By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to be able to design safe lifting plans that are compliant with the law, and take into account all health and safety requirements on site.

• Procedures for planning lifts
Day 5:
• NPORS Theory Test
• NPORS Practical Assessment
• RAMS and Lift Plan Exercise
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at supervisors and managers with responsibility for lifting operations. This course will give you an understanding of the appointed person’s responsibilities and how to fulfil them.
Entry Requirements
For learners applying for the NPORS CSCS Card, or for those requiring the 'HS&E TESTED Logo' displayed on their card they must have passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last 2 years.
Experienced operators should have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes.
Good understanding of spoken and written English.
